Privacy policy

This is a translation provided for information. The French version is the only legally binding text; in case of discrepancy, it prevails.

NOVALTRIX processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

Data controller

Data collected

  • “Discuss your needs” form: company name, website address, industry, annual revenue range, number of competitors, how you currently track your competitors, competitors named, needs, plan considered, first and last name, business email, preferred way to talk and, if you provide it, phone number.
  • Communications: emails, messages and call notes relating to your request or subscription.
  • Subscription: list of tracked competitors, priority products, thresholds and priorities you give us, report delivery address, contact person.
  • Billing: identity and address of the client company.
  • B2B prospecting: company name and business email address published by the company on its own website (legal notice, contact page).
  • Browsing: technical data (IP address, browser) collected through the site's cookies.

The information collected about our clients' competitors is commercial information published by businesses. We collect no personal data from it: for reviews, only the rating and the count, never the text or the author's name.

Purposes and legal bases (Article 6 GDPR)

  • Answering your request and preparing the call: pre-contractual measures.
  • Providing the service and managing the subscription: performance of the contract.
  • Billing and accounting: legal obligation.
  • B2B email prospecting, limited to messages related to your company's business: legitimate interest. You can object at any time by replying “stop” or by writing to the contact address.
  • Site audience measurement: your consent, given or refused through the consent banner.

Recipients

Your data is processed by our technical providers: Shopify (website hosting and form reception), Google (email and video calls), Meta (WhatsApp, only if you choose this channel) and our bank for payments. It is never sold or passed on to other clients.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (Shopify, Google, Meta) may process data outside the European Union. These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards: European Commission standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention periods

  • Requests not followed up and prospecting contacts: 3 years after the last contact.
  • People who objected to prospecting: name and email only, kept to honour the objection.
  • Subscription data: term of the contract, then 3 years.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 10 years.
  • Cookies: 13 months maximum.

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise them: contactnovaltrix@gmail.com. Reply within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
